Youth Hockey

Ready to hit the ice and give hockey a try? No matter a skater's age or ability, we have a path and plan for your child.

The season for competitive teams at the levels below begin in early September with practices and evaluations for team placements.

• 14U/Bantam (birth years 2010 and 2011)
• 12U/Peewee (birth years 2012 and 2013)
• 10U/Squirt (birth years 2014 and 2015)

Team practices will start shortly after the evaluations in early October, and games will begin by early November. Skaters at these age levels generally practice two or three times a week and play one or two weekend games on Saturdays and Sundays. Skaters are placed on teams based on their ability and skill level, which allows every skater to progress and have the most opportunities for individual development.

• 14U/Bantam - $1,510 per skater for the season*
• 12U/PeeWee - $1,285 per skater for the season*
• 10U/Squirt - $1,170 per skater for the season*

*There may be optional tournaments/games at your expense.

A USA Hockey Registration number is required for all age levels. A new number will be needed each season.

All jersey orders must be placed during registration!!

We will continue to offer two jersey options:

• Reversible JOG jerseys will be $65 for youth sizes and $68 for adult sizes.
• JOG jersey SIZE GUIDE
• Black Biscuit - two jerseys (one black, one white) are $115 (these are only available for U10/Squirt, U12/Peewee and U14/Bantam).

Jersey number assignment is managed by the apparel managers. Here are the rules or guidelines they follow: 

• Even birth year must have an even game jersey number 
• Odd birth year must have an odd game jersey number

There is a firm rule on birth year for game jersey number assignment. Skaters new to the program will select a jersey number from a predefined list of available numbers during registraion. If you would like to change your jersey number for the upcoming season or if you have any questions regarding jerseys, please contact our Apparel Managers.

Skaters can develop their fundamental hockey skills in the Mites programs.

• 8U (birth years 2016 and 2017)
• 6U (birth years 2018 and after)

Their season starts in mid-October and runs through early March. Skaters are placed on teams based on their ability and skill level, which allows every skater to progress and have the most opportunities for individual development.

Those skaters who join the Try Hockey For Free event on Sept. 14 may still register for the season if they decide to try playing.

All jersey orders must be placed with registration. Jerseys will be available at the Ice Pond to try on if needed.
